The music ministry of Central Baptist Church is made up of church members seeking to lead the lost to Christ and to encourage the Christian in his walk with the Lord through the use of traditional hymns and gospel songs.
Members of Central Baptist Church can find a place to serve in the music ministry by becoming involved in one or more areas:
Church members (7 th grade – senior saint) are invited to be a part of the church choir which leads the congregation in singing songs of worship and praise to our Lord and Savior. The choir meets weekly for rehearsals.
Church members who play orchestral instruments can be a part of the church orchestra and accompany the congregational singing. Any skill level is invited to be a part of this group.
With two pianos, an organ, and regular opportunities for special music, accompanists are always needed to play for the services and help groups/soloists with their music. There is even a second piano in the auditorium for the purpose of children/adults to accompany the congregational singing to gain practical experience using piano playing for the Lord.
Church members can be part of vocal or instrumental groups that minister through music for church services and special meetings.
A highlight each month is getting to hear from our Children’s Choir on Sunday mornings. Church members’ children from ages 4 through 11 are able to be part of this exciting group that learns choruses and Bible songs that encourage the children to learn more about God.
